Colorado State University-Pueblo seeks a Guard Instructor to begin fall season 2010 for an emerging university marching program.  Required qualifications: Success teaching colorguard at a high school or college level and interest in teaching both fall marching and winterguard programs; Desired qualifications: experience with D.C.I. and/or competitive winterguard; weapon, baton, and diverse dance/choreography experience; experience with designing costumes, flags, and other props.

The CSU-Pueblo Department of Music is the fastest growing college music program in Colorado.  Now with over 140 music majors, enrollment in music at CSU-Pueblo has increased nearly 200% in the past four years.  Fall of 2008 marked the return of collegiate football to campus in the brand new $13.6 million Neta and Eddie DeRose Thunderbowl Stadium.  The ThunderWolves Marching Band debuted fall of 2009 with the goals of enhancing the game day atmosphere and heightening school pride while at the same time providing an educational lab for future teachers.

Ability to recruit and retain both on-campus students as well as in-coming freshman/transfer students a must.  (Scholarship incentives available to all student members of the guard.)  Stipend: $6,000-$8,000.  Position open until filled.  Procedures: Send résumé, and supporting materials to:
